Slaughter and May is one of the world’s leading international law firms with an extensive corporate, commercial and financing practice. The specialist groups including tax, competition, financial regulation, dispute resolution, technology, media and telecommunications, intellectual property, commercial real estate, environment and pensions and employment complement these main activities. The firm is organised into groups which undertake a general spread of work encouraging lawyers to work on an extensive range of financial and commercial matters as well as developing an expertise in specialised areas.

There are 132 partners and approximately 1,200 staff world-wide which includes over 400 associates and 171 trainees.

Nearly 70 universities are represented among the lawyers who work in our firm. We are looking for intellectual capability (a good 2.1 ability or better), personality, common sense and the ability to communicate clearly. These qualities are personal to you, not the institution from which you gained your degree. While some of our trainees have read law at university, we welcome graduates from every discipline.
