Survey from Escape Studios shows computer graphics and creative graduates need extra training to land dream job.
London, 15th June 2010: With today’s employers demanding more from graduates, a new survey of students and graduates on creative courses from Escape Studios has found that nearly two thirds of graduates believe they need extra preparation to pursue the career of their choice. While universities offer a life changing experience, helping young adults adjust to their new-found independence, the research shows they don’t have the resources to provide students with the tailored skills appropriate for every industry.

T-Mobile research reveals small business leaders increasingly challenge accepted business conventions.
Key findings:
Numbers of staff no longer considered a benchmark of success by 58% of business leaders
Clear majority of business leaders (94%) judge staff by the results they achieve rather than time spent in the office
Age is no longer a barrier to success: Approximately one half (47%) of those surveyed do not believe you must be over a certain age to be trusted as a business leader
Almost 40% of businesses owners no longer see an issue with going into business with friends or family
Cashflow issues continues to confound business leaders
I was looking at a CV writing Q&A forum a few days ago. A businessman, with over 25 years’ experience was asking “Should I still include my ‘O’ Level results on my CV?” (‘O’ Levels are what us dinosaurs used to study for before GCSEs were invented). “No” declaimed the first reply. “Yes” thundered back the second. Both seemed very confident with their responses.
